A Beloved Boarding Tradition

Our Director of Music, Mr Pete Williams, played the piano with his usual gusto, creating an atmosphere that was both festive and heart-warming. This lovely tradition was first introduced by a former teacher from Penrhos College, and it remains a beautiful legacy that continues to bring our community together.

As chocolates were passed around, spirits were high. According to Mrs Russell, the Headmaster’s wife, everyone was “in fine voice.”
Year 12 boarder Amelia shared her own thoughts: “It’s a real bonding experience for all the boarders to come together. The atmosphere was really cosy and festive.”

After the singing concluded, the Year 13 prefects stayed behind to prepare our Christmas Hampers, working together in great spirits before joining Headmaster Mr Russell for a festive drink by the Minstrel Hall fire.

It was, once again, a memorable night one that captures the warmth, unity, and joy of the boarding community during the Christmas season.
