As cast members of Llandudno Youth Music Theatre's 'Beauty and the Beast', they wowed their audience in the main Arena, performing the musical numbers 'Beauty and the Beast', 'Gaston' and 'Be Our Guest'
Finn Rose and Archie Davies are playing Gaston and his loyal side-kick Le Fou.
They certainly got the audience moving in the Arena with their bold and energetic performance of 'Gaston' which included a full ensemble dance with Grace Hill, Elin Lloyd-Jones and Isabella Aubert supporting. Amelie Russell is playing Belle and danced beautifully during the title song 'Beauty and the Beast'.
April Williams, playing Madame de la Grande Bouche and Camilla Davies, playing Chip brought fun and wonder in 'Be Our Guest' while Teagan Girling and Isabella Aubert danced with 'Belle' as the 'napkins'.
Mrs Appleton, our Head of Performing Arts has choreographed the whole number. At the end of the set, the audience clapped and cheered to show their appreciation. Mrs Russell, who is directing the show for LYMT was so proud to see the whole cast perform with passion and gusto!
"As a school and as part of Llandudno Youth Music Theatre, we have a long established relationship with the amazing staff at Venue Cymru and Theatr Colwyn," said Mrs Russell.
"It was wonderful to participate in such a fantastic local event and give something back to the community, while seeing the Venue Cymru staff both run and support the event so professionally.
"At LYMT we are a group of volunteers who are passionate about the Performing Arts and the group offers a fantastic opportunity for young people to work with professionals in the industry, perform in professional venues and develop all the transferable skills that the Performing Arts require, having lots of fun along the way!"
Mrs Russell added: "A big thank you to Emma Joyce and her team at Venue Cymru for organising such a wonderful weekend event for young families in North Wales. The atmosphere was infectious and both the St David's staff and pupils very much enjoyed being part of such a wonderful community event."
Both Mrs Appleton and Mrs Russell are long established volunteers on LYMT's Creative Team and very much enjoy choreographing and directing with the rest of the team. Young people from all of the local secondary schools are involved and the show is in Theatr Colwyn on March 26th - 28th. Tickets can be purchased from the link below:
