First to the stage was Snowdon House with Inspector Snow and the Sleeping Santa. It was a wonderfully energetic production, full of comic timing, colourful costumes and sheer fun. The two giant chickens certainly brought the house down!
Next up, Tryfan performed Inspector Snow and the Elf-inflicted Wounds. Both judges were unanimous in their praise, commending the outstanding performances, attention to detail and technical brilliance. Tryfan’s Cluedo-style programme was also a real hit and drew plenty of admiration.
After battling the unrelenting wind and rain to reach the Minstrel Hall for mince pies and mulled wine, everyone returned for the final performance of the evening: Cader’s Inspector Snow and the 12 Murders of Christmas. With a large cast and some truly standout individual performances, it rounded off the night in spectacular fashion.
At the end of the evening, Cader House took first place, with Snowdon and Tryfan sharing a very well-deserved joint second. Every performer was brilliant, and we couldn’t imagine a more festive or fun way to spend a Friday night.
A huge thank-you to all the pupils who worked so hard on their productions -especially impressive given they only had a few weeks to prepare. Our gratitude also goes to the prop makers, backstage crew, directors, sound engineers and all the staff who helped bring the House Plays to life.
See you all at the Christmas Concert tomorrow! 🎄
