Their achievements can be in any area of school of community life, and St David’s College is delighted to announce that Cader House Captain Toran Procter, made it into the final shortlist, out of thousands of sixth formers from independent schools from across the country

Toran, who joined us is the Sixth Form, will be missed by both staff and younger pupils, as his time here draws to a close.

He’s made a huge impression in our community since he first arrived here as a somewhat shy and retiring young man.

He’s off to study Product Design at Bangor University, and is looking forward to his next adventure.

Mr Owen Davis, Head of Sixth Form, nominated Toran for the Lexden Prize, and said in his supporting statement: “Toran is an exceptional sixth-form pupil, excelling both academically and personally.

“He is a friendly, confident, and personable student who has demonstrated excellent personal skills throughout his time at school.

“As a key member of the Sixth Form and House Captain for Cader House, Toran plays a crucial role in the school community.”

Toran also shone in the school’s sell-out production of Matilda, despite it being his first ever starring role on the stage.

Mr Davis added: “In summary, Toran is an outstanding student who displays a mature, respectful, and kind demeanour.

“He’s an exemplary student, both in and around school, and within our boarding community.”

Toran said: “I’ve always had high motivation for the things I love doing, from music, design, acting and leadership at a very early age, and I have developed an ear and mind for expressing both musicality and design.

“I came into St David’s College quite a shy person with a fear of public speaking, but I have thrown myself into every opportunity that has come my way.

“The school has given me the freedom to flourish, and although I have worked very hard, I made sure I had just as much fun doing it along the way.

“I’ve loved every minute of St David’s and I’m excited about studying product design, my main goal is to go on into making props for films.”

Toran-a huge congratulations and good luck at Bangor University, but please stay in touch as you will be truly missed by us all here at St David’s!
