St David’s College is delighted to report that most of our Sixth Form students who have applied to go to university have already been offered places.

Out of 25 submissions 13 pupils have received offers at universities such as Warwick, York and Edinburgh.

Mr Owen Davis, Head of the Sixth Form, said: “This year has seen a huge number of applicants to UK universities.

“I think it is testament to the staff and pupils that we are seeing such a positive response from institutions to our applicants.”
“The university applications reveal just how eclectic and interesting our pupils are and how we support and nurture their gifts,”

The applications include Biomedical/Biological sciences, Airport and Aviation management, Product Design, Journalism, Forensic Psychology, Automotive Engineering, Fashion Design, Marine Technology and Baking and Patisserie Technology.

“The majority of pupils who did not apply to UCAS are now applying for apprenticeships in land-based technology, accounting, electrical engineering and outdoor education,” said Mr Davis.

“We’ve already have had one apprenticeship offer made to a Year 13 pupil.”
