Old Davidean Harri Mostyn welcomes St David's College partnership with Chester Rugby Club

Harry keeps himself busy farming near Llanrwst, with land stretching from Y Wyddfa (Snowdon) to Anglesey, where he raises sheep and cattle.

Speaking about his move to Chester Rugby Club, Harry said: "I've only just joined Chester, and I'm looking forward to playing some quality rugby. Some of my fondest memories at St David's College were the rugby tours with the boys, including trips to Georgia and the Isle of Man. We had a great team, and it was fantastically fun with Mr Dan Lycett our Head of PE."

Harry also reflected on the lasting friendships rugby has given him. He said: "I used to play rugby with Mr Lycett at Colwyn Bay Rugby Club as well, so it's always great to see him and chat about the good times we had."

Welcoming the College's new partnership with Chester Rugby Club, Harry added: "It's great that the school is sponsoring Chester Rugby Club. St David's has always played rugby to a high standard, and we're only about 45 minutes from Chester. It's much closer than people realise."

Dan Lycett, Head of PE at St David's College, also welcomed the news: "Harry was one of the best captains I've had the pleasure of coaching, and he’ll thrive at Chester. This partnership means raising the profile of the game and sport in general that shaped players like Harry. With St David’s less than an hour from Chester, it provides an exceptional education opportunity that focuses individual potential."

The new sponsorship, together with the dedicated Chester bus service, that will depart from Christleton, Sainsbury’s Car Park from 7:20am further strengthens the links between St David's College and one of the region's leading rugby clubs, providing exciting opportunities for current and future pupils.
