St David’s Pupils Nominated for 2025 Conwy Sports Awards

We are delighted to announce that two of our very own talented pupils have been nominated for awards this year.

Year 12 pupil Aggie has been nominated in the Junior Sportswoman of the Year category, her fifth nomination in this category! Let’s hope it’s her lucky year. Aggie was selected last season to ski for Team GB in the children’s races and achieved an outstanding second place in her group against international competitors in Andorra.

Year 12 student Louis has also been shortlisted for the Junior Sportsman of the Year category, for his impressive skiing achievements. Earlier this year, Louis was selected for the Welsh Ski Squad and races for UNIQ Snowsports.

Louis said: “It’s an honour to be nominated and it means all my hard work has paid off.

"Aggie and I would like to thank Mr and Mrs Demery for all their enthusiasm and support whenever we compete, and taking us to Llangranog for the Welsh Schools Ski Championships, which we won again this year.

"As a school, we have a brilliant ski team, and it’s always great fun whenever we race together," added Louis, who has been skiing competitively for the past four years.

This prestigious event, held annually at Venue Cymru, will be a true celebration of sporting dedication, passion, and achievement.

The 2025 Conwy Sports Awards will take place on Friday, 21st November at the Venue Cymru Arena, bringing together over 400 guests to celebrate the very best of sport in our community.
