Climate exhibition sparks lively discussions

Published: 11.03.2025 ( 7 days ago )

The thought-provoking exhibition blends real-life accounts, images and letters related to climate change written by people living in communities particularly vulnerable to climate and ecological crises

The exhibition also showed illustrated explanations of climate change, and the crucial role of nature plays in addressing it.

Our pupils engaged well with the exhibition, and it sparked interesting discussions.

St David's College geography teacher, Mr Matthew Roberts said: “The students loved seeing the pictures and letters from children from the Global South and it made them reconsider the responsibility that we – in high emitting nations – have to those on the frontline of the crisis (who have done the least to cause it).

“The information panels that accompany the exhibition created some interesting conversations around the climate and nature crisis and also climate justice and the need for a just transition.”

He added: “These are wide ranging topics, but the exhibition made them seem less complex since people connected to the letters and artwork on a personal and human level.”
