A farewell dinner for our Y13 Leavers

Published: 25.06.2025 ( 7 hours ago )

The evening began with a drinks reception and photographs on the Minstrel Hall Rose Terrace. Guests then made their way to the beautifully decorated Top Lawn Pagoda Marquee for dinner, a heartfelt thank you to Mrs Russell, Bella, and Lucie for their stunning work on the decor

Dinner was a feast for the senses. The starter of crispy duck pancakes with shredded leeks was followed by a mouth-watering main of ramen noodles. Dessert was a showstopper: a rich chocolate tart served with raspberry compote, chocolate mousse, chocolate ice cream, chocolate soil, and adorned with edible flowers.

The evening concluded with a series of touching speeches and toasts. Head Boy Oliver and Head Girl Lucie spoke with grace and warmth, followed by reflections from Mr Owen Davis, Head of Sixth Form, and the House Captains of Snowdon, Tryfan, and Cader. The Headmaster, Mr Andy Russell, gave a moving closing address that captured the spirit of the evening and the journey of the departing Sixth Form students.

There were plenty of hugs, laughter, and a few tears as the night came to a close marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

Special thanks to our exceptional Housekeeping and Catering Teams for their tireless efforts, which helped make the evening so special.
