These three outstanding students have already shown strong commitment to the values of our school and are passionate about giving back to the community that they so love
Teagan spoke candidly about what inspired her to apply for the role, she said: “I want to give all I can to the school for what it’s done for me.
"I’m severely dyslexic, and there were only three of us in my last school who were and I was the worst one but at St David’s, I’ve thrived, and as soon as I came here, I felt comfortable.”
Looking ahead, she hopes to mentor younger pupils: “One of the things I’d like to do is arrange workshops with the younger pupils, for example talk about when things go wrong in sports, that it’s OK, and that they should trust each other and have empathy for one another.”
William Greenhalgh shared his motivation for stepping into the role of Head Boy: “I want people to feel as I do about the school.
"St David’s means a great deal to me. It has shaped who I am today not only through academic learning and the extra-curricular activities that I have so enjoyed, but also by instilling a strong sense of values, community, and self-belief."
We are equally excited to launch the new role of Head of Boarders, and thrilled to announce Harry as the first to take it on. He's looking forward to making the role his own and working closely with our new Head of Boarding, Mrs Stephanie Stephenson:
“I’m going to be arranging evening activities for our younger boarders, things like table tennis, tennis, cooking, manhunt, hide and seek and perhaps there will be a water fight or two!”
All three student leaders have expressed how well they work together and are excited to support one another in the year ahead. We are confident that they will lead with kindness, enthusiasm, and integrity.
We wish Teagan, William, and Harry the very best of luck in their new roles—and a restful (if not very quiet!) summer. Will is off to compete for Team GB in the Windsurf Foil World Championships, while Teagan is headed to Morocco for a three-week surfing and climbing expedition.
