Eight schools played in the tournament-Ysgol Bodedern, Emrys ap Iwan, Moelwyn, Llangefni, Castell Alun, Dinas Bran and Scarisbrick Hall came all the way from Southport

Everyone looked like they had a lot of fun and some truly brilliant rugby was played by all of the teams-including from our very own talented team.

Llangefni were the winners for the second year running, with Bodedern the runners up. Congratulations to them both. St David’s came in third place.

During the prize giving ceremony at the end, Ms Kavanagh, who is a former Wales International Rugby player herself, said: “I just wish I had something like this tournament when I was growing up, but sadly there wasn’t.

“The standard of girls rugby is improving all the time, and today you’ve all been a credit to yourselves and your coaches, a very well done to you all!”

A huge thank you to our PE teacher Ms Jess Kavanagh for organising this brilliant event, thanks to all of our volunteer helpers, our Estates Team, the catering vans and lastly to the schools who came. Your girls did you proud! See you next year!
