Year 6 Hope Restored Visit

Published: 17.02.2023 ( a year ago )

Year 6 visited the homeless charity Hope Restored in Llandudno to find out more about the incredible work they do.

The charity was set up in 2010 by a lady called Brenda Fogg. She provides food parcels for homeless people and serves them three hot meals a week. Since Hope Restored was set up Brenda estimates around 650 people have come through her doors needing help.

She told the pupils her own personal story about how she wanted to help after she had become homeless herself.

Brenda and her band of volunteers also run a busy foodbank, and they operate from a church in Llandudno.

“All I had when I came to Llandudno with my two children was hope,” Brenda told the children.

“It’s fantastic that St David’s College is helping us, and I’m grateful that a collection box has been made and excited to find out which house collects the most money!”
