Peer Mentors Assembly with Year 6

Published: 25.01.2023 ( a year ago )

This morning, our newly-trained Peer Mentors ran an assembly for Year 6, in which they introduced themselves and played a game of ‘2 truths and a lie’,

This allowed for the Year 6 pupils to get to know them a little better and learn a few surprising facts about them. For instance, who knew that Soraya has dined with the Queen or that Maria has walked a cheetah!

Over the next few weeks, Year 6 will have an activity session with the mentors, before being allocated their own mentor, who will help support and guide them for the rest of the year, as they transition into Year 7.

The Peer Mentoring scheme forms an important part of pastoral care that is part of our DNA at St David's College. We aim to give all of our pupils the tools they need to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.
