Festive Fun at our Christmas Concert

Published: 13.12.2023 ( 6 months ago )

The concert opened with an excellent dance set by Dance DJ Cam Moore, which got everyone in the mood for a brilliant evening of entertainment

We had the SDC collective performing Oye Como va, to Tara Guerin singing Amy Winehouse’s Rehab, to the SDC Junior Choir singing the Calypso Carol.

Hudson Deveney-Douglas gave a star performance with his version of Ed Sheeran’s Afterglow, and Flynn Thomas Morgan looked suitably cool when singing the Oasis classic Masterplan.

Isabella Aubert and Oliver Pearce both performed beautifully on the piano and cello, and Thomas Pearce gave a haunting performance of Tori Amos’ Winter.

The Christmas rap mix performed by the Year 10 girls was great fun, as was the First XV Rugby team singing Wonderwall, dressed in their kit!

All in all, it was a brilliant night, and one to be proud of. What amazing talent we have!

Thanks to our Musical Director Mr Wills for producing the show, and to the lighting and backstage crew, a special mention should go to Joe Kenney-Lynch who came across as a professional roadie-remaining calm throughout all the different stage sets.

Thanks also to everyone who attended-see you all at the Carol Service on Friday!
