Five-Star Energy: ‘We Will Rock You - School Edition’ - Hits all the right notes

St David’s College is delighted to celebrate the success of this year’s production of We Will Rock You – School Edition, following a highly positive review from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA).

The review praised the production as “full of energy and commitment”, highlighting the strength of the ensemble and the confidence shown by pupils throughout. It also noted the clear enjoyment on stage, describing a performance that was “well-rehearsed and delivered with enthusiasm”, capturing the spirit and humour of the show.

Particular recognition was given to the cohesion of the cast and the overall production quality, with the performance described as “a real team effort” where every element came together effectively. This reflects the collaborative approach at the heart of St David’s College, where pupils are encouraged to contribute, take ownership and perform with confidence.

At its core, this production was a powerful example of pupils stepping beyond their comfort zones and rising to the occasion. The result was a show that not only entertained but demonstrated resilience, teamwork and a genuine love of performance.
