Red Nose Day is one of the biggest charity events in the world. Comic Relief has been running for over 35yrs and in that time they have raised over £1 billion for the most vulnerable children across the world. In 2021 the event raised over £55 million for Comic Relief.
We are doing our part here at St David’s College, different events have been organised by Gwen Harris that have inspired our students and teachers and has filled our corridors with tolerance and solidarity.
Everyone that had donated came in today dressed in red. The day started with our Red Nose Assembly at the Minstrel Hall with a tombola with our pupils giving out tickets and prizes. Opposite side a smaller table with sweet jar for guess the sweets in the jar.
Tutors collected cakes for their tutor group and they watched a short Presentation about Comic Relief. Many of our teachers sent pictures of themselves as children and the pupils had to guess the identity. It really was a lot of fun 😊
