Our new ski race team triumphed at the Welsh Schools Ski Championships in Mid Wales, with the primary team taking silver.
We managed to take three teams down to Llangrannog, and they brought home 14 medals in total.
The primary team (pictured) were pipped into second place despite superb performaces by all the team. Agatha (Y5) won two gold medals and a silver, Max (Y13) and Jonathan (Y12) brought home silver and bronze respectively in the seniors non-registered race and U16 non-registered Callum (Y10) also gained a bronze. Biv (Y6) and Teagan (Y6) both came home with three medals a piece and Louis with two.
Jonathan Demery who took them to the event, and who runs the ski activity every Thursday on the ski slope in Llandudno, said: “We did incredibly well considering it’s the first time we’ve ever taken part with a primary team.
“The results mean we have qualified to take part in the Senior British Ski Championships taking place in Scotland on November 18."
