7’s Heaven for St Davids U16’s

St Davids bagged their third set of medals in three 7’s tournaments on Friday with an impressive display.

The U16’s have now won the ISA 7’s national Bowl in 18/19 season, taken runners up in the North Walls Urdd and yesterday stormed to the final of the ISA 7’s National Cup. The U16’s were lead by their doughty captain Riley who marshalled his team with a rye smile, enthusiasm and guile.

On the way to the final St Davids were faced as usual by school double and triple their size, but this never seems evident when the team plays with such passion and determination.

Teams were Swept aside by the mix of direct powef running from Riley, Gilmartin with the blistering pace of Tyrer, Booth and highest scorer Lionetti. Supported by plucky displays from U15 Vaughn and Hughes playing in their first completions. Davies added some deft touches and precise kick passes and Jones and Bell played their parts linking well and supporting again both stepping into 7’s for the first time.

Harribo Hit: Cai ‘Aye aye Captain’ Riley

Champagne Moment: Ricco ‘the goat’ Lionetti

Lion of the Tournament: Jack ‘360’ Tyrer
