St Davids College dipped its toe into the fast flowing world of 7’s rugby with a trip to Maidenhead, to take part in the ISA National 7’s. An injury ravaged squad departed in good spirits & the evening Meal saw us celebrate the birthday of one of our players. Real sacrifice to be part of the team from Princess Jack!
The day started on the main pitch and a last minute conversion saw us edged out by St James College. The rest of the day saw the boys go from strength to strength and the boys made up of year10 & 11 gel.
The boys finished third in their group and entered into the Bowl competition. Now down to a squad of 8 the boys had to dig deep, with only one sub it was hard going.
in the Bowl they swept all aside scoring nearly 100 points and conceding only one try!
So the SDC foray into 7’s this year can be counted as a success with the ISA Bowl title with only 8 players!
