Young cubs in try fest!

St Davids College travelled to Ysgol Bryn Elian on Wednesday and we were treated to a feast of tries! Both teams contributed to a highly entertaining game with both teams attacking with power and pace.

St Davids started slowly and went two tries behind to a much bigger opposition but Cai Riley struck back with abrasive direct running.

The team then started to put the ball  through the hands and back row Callum F put several jinking runs together. On the wings Ben Hay and Jasper Bell played with guile and intelligence. Special mention must go to Nick at prop in only his fourth game of having a stormer in the scrum and running with the ball.

Champagne Moment- Two sublime pieces of skill from stand off Booth; a Sonny Bill Off load to keep a move going and a superb cross field kick for full back Sean to score.

Harribo Hit- Nick at prop for steam rolling several opposition. Very unlucky not to score.

Lion of the Match- Cai Riley at centre who had a storming game with several direct runs and a hat trick. Also Special mention to Jasper Bell you had several jinking runs!

Next up U16’s at home vs Dfryn Conwy & the 1st XV away at St Mary’s Crosby. As well as Conwy across Country at Rydal on Thursday.
