St David’s College completed their season with a comprehensive win over traditional fixtures and tourists Cowley International School.
St David’s started brightly with some excellent contact work against a team used to playing Rugby League. St David’s took a commanding 27 nil lead in the first half with excellent tries from, Booth, Riley and Jones. Excellent tackling displays from Grant and Riley stemmed the attacks that came from Cowley and new winger Verlinden showed his pace and strength when he got the ball.
Roberts had an excellent game at full back and finished a lovely move that the U14’s have stolen from the 1st XV. Cowley scored twice, close in from their big powerful number 8 and from a set piece where they linked well for the number 9 to dart over.
The final score was 57 -10. A good game played in a good spirit. St David’s hopes to take a team over in the coming Autumn Term.
