The St David’s wakeboarding team took part in the Wildshore Delamere competition yesterday. There were some great performances from the whole team, most of whom had never ridden on this cable before. Having only attempted his first ever kicker on Saturday, Archie Dunn raised his game to land a solid straight air. Ralph Scott, riding not only on an unfamiliar cable, but also an unfamiliar board, threw his first kicker 180 with a tail grab popped in for good measure. Again having only learnt the trick on Saturday, Nick Petrie put in a solid 360 on his corner and also hit his first ever kicker. In his first competition, Quinn Somerville had a great ride, earning himself a place on the podium alongside Sophie Hunt who improved from her performance at the Glasfryn comp in the summer to take a silver medal. Maddie Fendley continued her successful season by adding silver medals in the Junior Rookie and Women’s Inters competitions to her previous top podium finishes at Pembrokeshire and Glasfryn. Aaron Spencer faced some tough competition having now moved up from Juniors to the Men’s Intermediates. He put in a solid performance, showing just how far he has come in such a short space of time. Congratulations to the whole team - a great way to round off a fantastic season.
