St David’s pupils came home with 4 trophies and some invaluable experience from this year’s North Wales F1 in Schools regional final.
Two teams from St David’s competed in two different classes, with both coming home with a pair of awards.
The competition is designed to give pupils a chance to not only design and race a car but also develop a team identity and seek sponsorship.
The entry level team 6x7 Racing were the first team in Wales to fully 3D print a car. The team linked up with Ambionics who produce 3D printed prosthetic limbs for infants.
The SDC Racing team were returning to the competition and entered the development class that pitted them against 16 year olds, but still managed to finish in 3rd place.
