Outdoor Education – Weekly Round Up (Sept 17th - 23rd)
Year 8 and 9 have had a full day each, to take part in their curriculum Outdoor Education program during the week. They’ve been off sailing, climbing, mountain walking, kayaking, canoeing as well as exploring underground.
The 6th form BTEC team have had a full weekend of sailing. Saturday saw them sailing J80s down the Menai Straits and then Sunday (as well as some non-BTEC pupils), they started to get to grips with the smaller boats of our fleet at a very blustery Llyn Brenig.
This weekend also saw two groups of Year 10 pupils completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition. It was a cold night to be camping, with temperatures down to single figures and Sunday started off with some heavy showers. Everyone was still smiling at the end though – Well done everyone!
