The start of a new year of Saturday activities has arrived and brought with it a wealth of exciting new challenges as well as some old favourites. Apart from some classics such as 4x4, wakeboarding and shooting there are now opportunities to try your hand at building a car, pier fishing and time commanders. Joe Lee, who has just started as a Year 10 Snowdon boarder was amazed, "I've never driven a car before and now I can drive a 4x4 through a muddy wood!" "It was also brilliant that my instruction came from a 6th former, that made it feel like I was joining a school tradition."
As well as the Saturday morning activities, canoeing and gorge walking were also on offer as whole day adventures through the Outdoor Education department.
It all goes to prove that Saturday is now the best school day of the week.
