Lions pride intact

St Davids college went into Wedneadays game full of positivity. The team had trained well and the structure was firing on all cylinders. This was taken into the game. Eirias posed a strong test having won there previous two games.

St Davids college started with intent with bullock runs from Mair, Goodwin and Jones. Yet with lots of possession, field position the te couldn't turn their dominance into points.

The St Davids pack remained dominant in set piece with Railton, O'Sullivan and Cardwell placing the opposition scrum under constant pressure. Yet it was Eirias who struck after some sustained pressure through their tight head prop.

St Davids continued to press and several chances went begging, but the back linking up with far more fluidity and they eventually struck through veteran center Brew, with Roberts adding the extras.

St Davids then paid for an inability to  clear their lines when Eirias struck through their fly half who converted.

Several injuries punctuated the latter stages and St Davids struggled again to turn possession to points and the game ended 7-14 to the visitors.

Huge improvements and St Davids welcome Glan Clwyd U14's & 1st XV next Wednesday.
