St David's College had another year of solid results for their 6th Formers with an 83% pass rate across all Level 3 qualifications. 22% achieved top marks in their chosen courses. Art and Design including Engineering proved one of the school's strengths yet again with 100% of pupils passing with A* to B and 5 pupils gaining a Distinction in CAD level 1.
Stand out performances came from Mackenzie Best A* in Art and Design with a B in Design and Technology mixing this with a Distinction in Science and CAD. Mackenzie's results show how having a broad choice of qualifications can play to the strengths of an individual. Hannah Czakan earned 2 Distinction* in Applied Science and Business as well coming 3rd in the Global BTEC Business and Enterprise Award. Tom Rogowski achieved a double Distinction* in Production Arts and Level 1 CAD alongside a B in Design and Technology, again showing how academic and vocational qualifications can be mix for a good vocational skill base.
St David's College is particularly proud of Head Boy Max Dunford who in spite of his Dyslexia achieved 2 A grades in Mathematics and Geography and a B in Biology. During his time at St David's College Max has worn the red jersey of Wales in Running, competing in both National and International competitions.
These are just a few of the remarkable success stories from this year's cohort and we would like to congratulate every pupil on their excellent results.
