A former pupil says he has realised his dream of becoming a pilot partly thanks to the self-belief the school gave him.
Kelsey Robinson who left St David's in 2016, is now living in Nelson, New Zealand and works as a private helicopter pilot, and hopes to qualify as an instructor.
"Before I came to St David's I had no confidence in myself at all and also wasn't really motivated," he said.
"But the school helped me to realise my full potential, and I loved all the outdoor activities we did."
The 20-year-old continued: "I ended up doing well in my exams which I never thought I would, and memories of the hiking trips we did and the ski trip I went on with Snowdon House are such happy memories, and ones I will remember for the rest of my life."
Kelsey added: "New Zealand is a very similar to Wales, so I feel very much at home there."
