We are pleased to report on the winners of our first Key Stage 3 academic project of the year. In the past half-term, pupils have been competing in the SDC Business Challenge, which was a five-week competition set by the Business Department for all pupils in Years 7-9.
As part of the challenge, the pupils had to form a company and develop a new, sustainable, healthy juice brand. Within this, they had to research other drinks on the market, look at the nutritional benefits of different ingredients, calculate the projected profit and loss, come up with a brand name and design the packaging.
The project also helped to raise awareness for Special Olympics Great Britain (SOGB); a fantastic charity that works to provide sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
