John Hicks is a Cambridge based life coach, and parent of children special educational needs.
He works with parents and their children to deal with the emotional experiences of having dyslexia and to empower them to build strategies to put the challenges of dyslexia behind them and realise their potential.
He will be attending our Opening Day on Saturday, March 10, to chat to parents and offer advice. He also writes a popular blog. www.parentingdyslexia.co.uk.
“My oldest daughter was 18 when she was diagnosed with ADHD, and my youngest was 12 when she was diagnosed with dyslexia,” said Mr Hicks.
“I think the stress of being dyslexic caused my daughter to have non-epilepsy related seizures because of the stress of struggling at school.
“I provide information on my blog for parents and children struggling with dyslexia, and hopefully it provides inspiration for dyslexia learners.”
