CONGRATULATIONS to Steve Marsh, the father of Sarah, who has passed a City and Guilds course in Computer Aided Design and got a distinction to boot.
This term SDC started a new initiative by offering Computer Aided Design (CAD) courses to parents. The courses were run on an evening basis - one evening per week for 12 weeks. The course offered participants the opportunity to gain a grounding in creating 3D computer models using industrial CAD software. It quickly transpired that the level of competence and commitment on the course was very high, so it was decided that the participants would benefit from working towards a formal qualification.
Martin O’Leary Head of Design and Technology said: “I am very proud to announce that Steve Marsh is the first parent to pass the examinations and thus achieve the City and Guilds L1 Qualification in Computer Aided Parametric Modelling - and gained a Distinction to boot!
“A fantastic achievement and there will no doubt be many more to follow in his footsteps.”
