Two new teachers will be joining us in September for Years 5 and 6, Anna George and Emily Fielden.
Mrs George will be joining us from Rydal Penrhos Prep School, where she has taught for the past 10 years.
The 38-year-old mum of two young boys, is originally from Harrogate, but now lives rural bliss in the Conwy Valley, with her family.
“I’ve taught all the way through Rydal Prep, and have really enjoyed my time there but what I like about St David’s is that it has a really warm atmosphere, and teaching is very personalised.”
She added: “I’m looking forward to be teaching in a more creative way and can’t wait to start full-time in September.”
For the first time, Years 5 and 6 classes will be streamed for maths and English.
Miss Fielden currently works at a primary school, in Rhyl, with a class of 35.
“In such large classes it’s very difficult to focus on one child, to give them the attention they may need and deserve.
“What I’m looking forward to be doing at St David’s is not just skimming the surface, but to sit down and give that one to one attention where needed.
“I’ve been at my primary school for five years, and whilst I love my job I’m looking forward to be working with much smaller class sizes.”
She added: “I had never heard of St David’s before, although I had passed the end of the driveway a million times.
“But as soon as I came up the driveway and spent some time here on Open Day I just fell I love with it, I can hardly sleep as am so very excited to be starting my new job.”
