The girls of Augusta House have been fighting over their shiny new housemate - an 11-week old labradoodle called Copper.
The boarders had been eagerly anticipating the puppy’s arrival for weeks.
Copper was bought from a breeder in Buckley, Flintshire, and we are pleased to report he has settled well into his new home.
Augusta’s house parent Steph Stevenson said: “The girls have all said that Copper completes the household.
“They’ve always regarded Augusta as their second home, but I think having a puppy around makes it even more homely.”
The mum of two little girls continued: “Copper is very placid and gentle, and just seems to sleep a lot at the moment, so in the evenings the girls fight over him and pass him around in his sleep, it’s very sweet.
“When he was crying a little bit the other night, I heard a gentle knock on my flat door and two of the girls were checking to see if he’s ok.”
Dogs and cats parading the grounds are quite a common sight at SDC. House parent Nick Cogger has a Golden Retriever at Tryfan, called Ellie, house parent Sian Mulvahill, has two cats in residence at Cader, and Snowdon’s pet in residence is a curly coated black Retriever called Oli.
