Year 10 and 11 history and performing acts students recently enjoyed a trip to London, where they visited the Tower of London, Tate Modern and the Globe Theatre.
At the Globe Theatre they learnt of its impact on Elizabethan England. During the evening the pupils enjoyed seeing the West End production of Aladdin, that sparked a sing-song on the way home, and the pupils tried to work out how they made the magic carpet fly.
Day two saw the group split with the history pupils going to the Tower of London and they were lucky to be at the Tower to hear a gun salute.
The performing arts students enjoyed a visit to the Pineapple Dance Studios, and did a workshop with one of the leads from Aladdin.
