  •   ‘BTEC Business & Enterprise Student of the Year’ has twice been won by the department.
     

  • The National Tenner Challenge Award for ‘Most Inspiring Individual’ was awarded to one of our pupils.
     

  • Our pupils reached the National Final of the Real Business Challenge five years in a row and were crowned Welsh Champions.

History

  • 100% pass rate as in no unclassified in both GCSE and A Level.
     

  • At least 1 trip abroad each year, we do battlefield trips every two years and we have been to New York and Washington Boston. Regularly do a trip to London and every year our Year 8s go to Blists Hill.
     

  • We try to make History interactive by experiencing it.

Geography

  • We use our unique geographic location, the North Wales coastline, and the nearby Snowdonia National Park, regularly for
    practical lessons.

  • 72% of students achieved a Distinction in Level 3 Applied Science.
     

  • 1Over 60% of students in the sixth form study a science subject.
     

  • Over £30,000 invested in new equipment over the last two years to ensure all pupils have the opportunity to experience hands-on science.

  • There are 2 school choirs, 2 jazz bands and numerous pupil ensembles, including a staff band.

        Xmas Concert, Band Night, Bands in
        the park, Speech Day and other
        performances in the local community.
