Confirmation 2008
16th November 2008. Along with other parishioners, six of our pupils were Confirmed
recently, at St Ffraid's Church, Glan Conwy; the Rt Revd John Davies,
Bishop of St Asaph, officiated, assisted (of course !) by the Revd Tim
Hall, our Chaplain. In his sermon, the Bishop preached from the
parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-28), encouraging the candidates
to use their gifts well as part of their Christian commitment and that
Confirmation was about praying for the Holy Spirit to enable them to do
so; the Bishop commended our pupils for taking this public step of
faith, saying that they were very courageous young people. After the
service, the congregation enjoyed refreshments in Church House.
