2009 Rugby 7s

Our U 18s won the Conwy Schools 10-a-side tournament and are on course to becoming Conwy's 15-a-side Champions again. The team are also looking to retain the Eryri (North West Wales) Cup once again. Out of the last 4 years, St David's have been champions 3 times and runners up once. The 7s squad trained hard for the Birkenhead, Cheshire and English Schools National Sevens at Fylde RFC IN Lancashire. In Birkenhead, we did not progress past the group stages but at Caldy RFC, for the Cheshire 7s, we reached the semi final before being knocked out by Wilmslow Grammar. At the National 7s, a 2 day event, we beat Radyr, Cardiff in the first group game, but then lost our remaining matches. I8n the knock out phase, we progressed to the Plate but were beaten by Dame Allen School from Newcastle.
