Duke of Edinburgh Award

Everyone does it, but not too many schools are favoured with a visit from HRH The Earl of Wessex, a scheme trustee; after shaking the hands of so many of our pupils collecting their Gold Awards at Buckingham Palace, Prince Edward wanted to come and see for himself just why we are so successful. So he did.

We introduce you to the Scheme in Year 9, with the Bronze Award.. Many then go on to the Silver and Gold Awards, learning lifelong skills of leadership, team-working and how to overcome adversity; and all with friends alongside you. Employers tell us that with an Award on your CV, they sit up and take notice.
