2009 November Re-union Weekend
A successful weekend with the usual format - meeting in the Minstrel Hall on Saturday at 12.00pm; rugby match and shooting at 2.15pm; afternoon tea at 3.30pm; drinks at Fountains at 7.00pm; dinner at the Empire at 9.00pm. On Sunday the Remembrance Service took place at 10.30am in the Minstrel Hall.
Almost 50 attended the evening meal, including Will Flack, Simon Grosvenor, Will Bishop, David Thorley and James Sedgewick, all of whom had left 25 years earlier. Nick Ward flew in from Geneva - his 25th successive OD weekend - and Rafael Gonzales arrived from the States. Charles Gale-Hasleham, who left in the seventies, was probably one of the most senior of ODs who attended.
The Headmaster and his wife Lucy were in attendance along with present staff members Simon and Judy Buckley, Andy and Kate Russell, Margaret Ozolls and the Rev Tim Hall.
The Rev Bob Clarke (ex housemaster), and his wife Kate, also attended along with ODA President Will Seymour and his wife Shirley.
The Chapel service on Sunday morning was once again well supported and many OD members played leading roles including Gavin Mart and Paul Silvester.
